Our Solution
RAD’s Vmux-110 voice trunking gateway, in combination with the company’s Airmux broadband wireless multiplexer or third-party satellite or wireless local loop service delivery platforms, ensure a cost-competitive solution for transporting various data and voice services to multiple remote industrial, mining and mobile sites over bandwidth-constrained links. More bandwidth efficient than standard VoIP equipment, the Vmux-110 achieves a 16:1 voice compression ratio by employing the latest voice compression algorithms using voice activity detection and silence suppression technology, as well as TDMoIP multiplexing. The extra bandwidth capacity gained as a result of the efficient voice compression ratio can be used for data. The Vmux-110 contains four or eight FXS/FXO/E&M voice ports or a single E1/T1 as well as a user LAN port. On the network side, the Vmux-110 has E1, T1, serial, and IP uplinks and is compatible with all types of VSAT interfaces. RAD’s Airmux broadband wireless multiplexer can achieve up to 18 Mbps full duplex throughput. Maximum reach is 80 kilometers (50 miles).
