France’s Distributique magazine, part of the IDG publishing house, recently awarded Dynetcom, a RAD Data Communications distributor in France, the prestigious Trophee 2004 for providing its customer, Teleperformance, the best return on investment in a communications project. According to the judges, Dynetcom enabled Teleperformance to achieve a notable reduction in communications costs and “considerably augment call capacity without requiring investment in new equipment.”
“For a reasonable investment of €30,000,” Distributique explained, “Teleperformance realized a monthly savings of more than €10,000.”
Teleperformance, the world’s second largest provider of outsourced CRM and contact center services, used RAD’s Vmux™ compressed voice system to connect its PBX in Paris with its Brittany-based call centre bureau. The Vmux is an essential component of RAD’s Fast Payback™ programme, a solution package that enables service providers and corporate enterprise customers to dramatically reduce communications costs and achieve a rapid return on investment in networking equipment. The Vmux employs RAD’s patented TDMoIP® technology to transport 90 simultaneous high-quality Teleperformance voice circuits over dual MultiLAN connections from France Telecom. The Vmux is capable of compressing a full 64 kbps voice circuit by as much as a 16:1 ratio and transporting the calls over an IP/Ethernet/MPLS network as well as TDM links.
Commenting on the award, Dynetcom’s president Pascal Campourcy said that “RAD’s Fast Payback programme based on the Vmux system enabled Dynetcom to cut our client’s ongoing costs dramatically in a short time, for a relatively modest up-front investment, while migrating the network to next generation packet infrastructure.”
