Optimux-45 fiber optic multiplexer enables using wireless SDH media to build a cost-effective solution for metropolitan services over a wireless link. Its east and west connectivity capabilities emulate the SDH/SONET add-drop multiplexer (ADM). The Optimux-T3 implements G.747 to run up to 21 E1, 28 T1 or a combination of E1 and T1 lines over a T3 link, connecting many services over this virtual wireless ring. Its drop and insert capability makes it an attractive solution for daisy-chain topology, offering the benefit of multiple E1/T1 drops in each of the customer premises along the line.
