RAD Data Communications to Expand Solutions to Rail, Services, Resources and Infrastructure Sectors
Will Increase Reach Following United Group Limited's Acquisition of Leading RAD Channel Partner
Sydney, Australia, 5th March 2007: RAD Data Communications, a world leader in network access equipment for data communications and telecommunications applications, announced today that it will expand its solutions to the rail, services, resources and infrastructure sectors following the acquisition of channel partner PCS by United Group Limited.
United Group (ASX:UGL) is a diversified services company specialising in maintenance, facilities management, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction and business process outsourcing. PCS will become part of United Group's Infrastructure division and will augment its Communications Line of Business (formerly known as COMSYST).
According to Udi Furman, Managing Director of RAD in Australia, the acquisition will provide United Group Infrastructure customers with a comprehensive communications offering, particularly in the growing area of business Ethernet access solutions over PDH, SDH, fibre, and wireless networks.
